This award recognises outstanding achievements in delivering the Energy Bills Support Scheme, highlighting an outstanding ability to deliver and support solutions that drive positive change and improve the lives of countless individuals.
The winning submission for the Public Sector Project of the Year category focused on the work led by UKSBS Finance Services team working across functions in Operations and Digital and Information to deliver the energy payments on behalf of the Department for Energy, Security and Net Zero as part of the Help for Households campaign.
4,787 payments totalling £42.9bn were issued by UKSBS to reach UK households and help with the cost-of-living crisis. Selected from an impressive pool of applicants, the project stood out for its exceptional impact, remarkable efficiency, and transformative outcomes.
